Quickly Replacing Hits with Samples
Use this super fast technique to replace existing drum hits with sample hits. Be specific in the order which the tracks are grouped, or it will not work.
1. Turn on "Tab to Transient" mode and "Command Focus" mode
2. File > Import Audio to Track the file which contains the sample or CD sample track (this will create a new track containing the sample)
3. Move this new track (Sample Track) directly BELOW the track on which you want to place the new sample (Placement Track)
4. Highlight an individual sample with the Grabber tool or Cut an individual sample from a CD sample track with the Selector tool
5. Press "C" to copy the file (In command focus mode you don't need to press "Crtl + C"
6. Create a Group containing both the Sample and Placement tracks
7. With the Selector Tool engaged , Press Tab to move to the first transient on the Placement Track
8. Press "V" to paste the sample (In command focus mode you don't need to press "Crtl + V"
9. Continue Tab and "V" at each place where you want to place the sample
