Monster Cable S-100 1/4-inch Straight - Angled Instrument Cable

General
Does a good cable make a better player? Well, maybe not a better player, but it reallly does make a difference in your overall sound and tone.
Use
As players, we spend most of our time carting gear to and from shows. Probably more time carting than playing! Right there is the incentive to get famous enough to have roadies.... God bless roadies and all they do!!!
Likely, the gear that takes the most abuse is cables. We step on them, trip over them, wind 'em up, twist them down and in the end expect them to perform flawlessly—with no clicking and popping and no sound degradation. There is nothing worse than getting a bad signal in the middle of a show or recording session because your cable went bad. Well, truth be told, a good quality cable holds up WAY better and WAY longer than a cheap cable.
Quality cables, like Monster Cable, are great. The connectors are well-made, 24k gold for good connection and conductivity, and they don't corrode. The cable itself coils without kinking, lays flat on the floor, and is heavily shielded to prevent noise interference. And, they always sound and work great. If not, write the company for a new one. They are LIFETIME GUARANTEED. C'mon! How cool is that!
Yes, Monsters cost a little more than cheaper cables, but this is your lifeline from instrument to audience. Make it as good as it can be, and quit fooling around. You will be pleasantly surprised. And don't forget to color code your cables so nobody walks off with them by mistake. Oh, and another thing... carry at least one spare. Either for your bandmate who forgot his, or to replace the one that you left at the last show.
Final Take
Monster cables rock! They cost a little more initially, but because they are Lifetime Guaranteed, you will save a lot in the long run by not having to replace cables all the time. Get a good cable and you will NEVER go back!
